Did Bob Arum use May 2nd as a bargaining chip to gain monetary leverage?

We all know the story behind the May 2nd date.

Now there is word that Pacquiao is receiving 40% of the split compared to previous ideas that he only deserved 40 million, 20%, 13% etc blah blah.

The question is, when Mayweather announced his desire to fight on May 2nd, did Bob Arum see an opportunity to gain negotiation leverage by claiming the May date as an exclusive Mexican PPV date and "threaten" Floyd with giving the date to Cotto and Canelo?

I am under the impression that this was the case and was used by Arum to get his crew a bigger slice of the pie than Floyd was willing to share.

Well played Mr. Arum, well played.

No. I haven't seen the contract nor did I suggest in any way that I am in any position to see any contracts.

I clearly stated that my theory is based on the bits pieces of news and interviews that are being slowly leaked out.
