  • I am not the biggest peterson fan but people are sleeping on him. If he can establish the jab and fight from the outside then he has a shot. He cant get off to a slow start. I havent been impressed with garcia.

He had to win, or at least come close, to salvage any chance of being a champ going forward. Peterson did just that, and surprised almost everyone.

I'm betting on him doing the same thing tonight. He may not win, but he'll make this hard, and I think he can win.
Yeah but he looked his best before he got caught cheating, since the khan fight he hasn't looked the same it's not going to be easy for swift but he should win.

Andy Lee vs Quillin starts at around 140 -1:45 am UK time, and then is the Garcia fight.

I think he looks pretty much the same. He's a decent fighter who beats anyone who isn't top of the heap and can give those guys a good fight.

            • It's a shame this fight is only 10 rounds.

              • Hope Peterson can take it to the inside and make a fight of it. I'd like to see how Danny can handle himself in that sort of fight.

Is it 10 rounds?, a lot of sites have this down as 12 rounds. NBC don't mention how many rounds it will be though ha.

So Danny basically needs one knockdown to win. Has Peterson ever fought a top level opponent and not been dropped? Bradley, Ortiz, Khan, and Matthysse all dropped him early.

                      I'm pretty sure it's 10 rounds. I've read it a few places.

Yeah, I don't think this favors Peterson at all. Even bradley knocked him down. Although Pederson was able to get a draw w/ Ortiz after getting dropped twice.

Peterson's only chance imo was to take danny to the deep ends like Herrera/Judah did in their fights. Swift slows down. I don't think Swifty will need to conserve energy for those 3 rounds, and will thus be more active which is bad for ped.
