gonna have to man up if he wants Showtime to be a real and not just a showcase for future NBC fights.

      It's their own fault.

It is cause and effect, the Schaeffer/GBP fallout led to Haymon running out the string on GBP which had a deal with Showtime.

Now he can make things right by Showtime in any number of ways, or he can walk off but it would be wise for him not to burn bridges given Showtime will have money to be active, he still has a ton of fighters and he still does have clients with interests there. Will be interesting to see what he does, if he can deliver the big Floyd fight I am sure CBS will be fine with his NBC dealings for now.

Given that the 'Premiere Champion Boxing' league on NBC will be hemorrhaging money for it's first year or so as it builds up fan loyalty, Showtme has to realize that any shows they do with Haymon fighters is essentially being used to further subsidize the NBC shows.

I don't think so. Haymon has to pay NBC $20 million for airtime. He has 150 fighters on his roster. No way they can all fit on NBC.

I still see them both in the picture.

Funny thing is, Showtime can't tell Haymon to suck their d**K because he still has to deliver the Mayweather Pacquaio fight. I expect Espinoza to start rationalizing and saying crazy things in denial, but the fact is he got used and abused.

I will enjoy watching free fights on NBC and hopefully they can put on competitive fights for the duration of the series.

However, Haymon should have been delivering good fights all along. He could care less about the fans, just about the power.

Haymon made them pay for Rod Salsa and what not and now Peterson-Garcia is on NBC for free.

Honestly, this was Haymon living up to his worst reputation as a shady ****er, but if this means good fights for free, awesome. I'll happily live with the devil.

Espinoza better come crawling to GB now. Showtime got taken dirty
Only a handful of fights will be on the prime network NBC. Most of the other cards will be on NBC Sports, which is a paid for channel in cable and satellite provider packages, no different than HBO and Showtime.

I did a quick search and see that NBCS is only available in the mid to upper priced packages, leaving the more budget minded individual out.

People need to keep in mind that nothing is free here just because it has "NBC" in it's channel name.

I think he'll put most his significant fighters on NBC to make that 20 mil count though

I agree. With the huge stable of fighters Haymon has, he couldn't get them all fighting on Showtime. He will have the same issue on NBC. The only viable solution is to spread them out between both networks.
