    Showtime is dead

Al haymon screwed showtime and Stephen Espinoza right out of boxing. This explains why showtime hasn't announced anything past I think the end of January. They don't have any fighters to showcase anymore. HBO at least has top rank and golden boy and they have agreements with the other promotional companies but damn did haymon screw showtime over with this deal.

Yea, I was just looking at all the boxing stuff on Facebook and now it makes complete sense why Haymon was feeding us all those horrendous matchups on Showtime over the past year or so.

He was basically saving his blue chip guys for this NBC deal. That's why we were getting crap like Garcia-Salsa.

Now that Haymon is taking his guys to NBC and Golden Boy is back in bed with HBO, where does that leave Showtime boxing? Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

That's why Showtime is desperatly pushing for Matthysse - Provodnicov, it's all they got for the first part of the year and i'm not sure if Lucas will take the fight if there's no title on the line.

Or he's just selling everyone these fights for the first few nbc broadcast and once he gets the casual fan watching he'll start cherry picking again like he did on showtime. That first year on showtime was epic had great matches and was competitive with HBO. 2014 just ****** and reading Stephen Espinoza's tweets it's obvious that he had no idea it was gonna be this bad. Makes perfect sense why showtime is willing to deal with HBO and get the manny floyd fight made because they have nothing else.

They did get screwed pretty bad lol but I'm sure khan and Lucas will fight again on there. Haymon has too many fighters to put them all on nbc nbcs.
