Oscar got screwed over by Shaeffer more than anyone, but parting ways with the Haymon fighters was necessary. They should have a company protocol not to act as a fighter's promoter without a contract and should try to put in language in new contracts that they cannot be represented by Haymon as an adviser.

Oscar is in a good deal of trouble. That is clear as day. It will be interesting to see what he does to rebuild his stable. He has his work cut out for him though. He needs someone to mam the helm. If the Cotto negotiating has shown me anything, it's that Oscar is just not a skilled negotiator.

Oscar sued for 50Mill that doesn't mean that is what he got. Nobody publicly knows what he got. I would venture to say it wasn't 50Mill considering it was settled out of court.

Never heard of anybody settling before trial just to pay the full asking amount.
