Mike's only defense here is an illegal search. If he had an expired registration then they should have issues him a citation and been on their way. I don't know if I buy the whole "we saw him put something in his glove box" story. Even if he did, still doesn't give them the right to search unless they actually saw a weapon being placed in there.
