Comments Thread For: Goossen Approved For 3/7 Vegas Card; Haymon Involved?

Goossen Promotions was granted approval for requests to promote a boxing event on March 7 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The request was unanimously approved by the Nevada State Athletic Commission during its monthly agenda hearing Monday afternoon.

Specific fights to be held on the show have yet to be revealed, although the news could tie into adviser Al Haymon’s soon-to-come boxing series on NBC and its affiliate networks (specifically—but not limited to—NBC Sports Network). A news conference is being held on Wednesday at the NBC building in New York City to discuss full details of the series, with only select media members invited to attend. [Click Here To Read More]

It doesn't matter who promotes it but what kinda of fights will be on that card. We already know he is going to use these small promotion companies.

NSAC should have just directed the issue at the main culprit for his rigged events(arum) and put the heat on his @$$

Id like to see a research article concentrating specifically on fights with controversial decisions and their promitional affiliation...my bet is that Top Rank promoted over 60% of them in the last 10-20 yrs.

So this makes it okay for haymon to do lo it also?

So Haymon pays some of his guys 400k to 1/2 a mill per fight but only gives them 2 fights a year when prom would pay the fighter same amount for 3 to 4 fights a year. Do the math. But fighters get all excited when they hear the promises coming out of Haymon's assss and get more excited when they are given some cash bonus and this is how his suppose to make you the next mega star. RIGHT.
