What do boxers have to do to earn your respect?

What type of standards do you hold for fighters today? Earning as much money as possible? Facing all the top challenges? Making smart business decisions? What is it exactly? Thoughts?

Fight 20 times a year, make no money, knock everyone out, never get dropped, fight the top guy in the division regardless of age or experience, be of all races and nationalities all the while being humble and arrogant.

Despite their boxing talent. They have to be able to go toe to toe. They Cannot completely mask behind their 'skills.'

I respect most of them for even wanting to do this. Apart from that, it depends on the situation...in general, I respect those who take care of their body, improve from fight to fight, have an inside ability, can survive while hurt, get up from knockdowns or not get knocked at all, get stronger as the fight goes on, shake hands after the fight, and thank Al Haymon. The usual stuff

I respect anyone who steps in the ring to fight. The way to keep it is to fight the best, don't make excuses every darn time you lose, don't try to hide behind promoters or business decisions as reasons for not fighting those perceived to be threats

Please the fans by giving them the fights they ask for, via polls or by rank.

If they are the #1 contender fight them when both are at their best

If the whole ****ing world wants to see it, make it happen , don't wait until you feel like its best opportune for you..

Having said this, a boxer doesn't have to live by these expectations.. There's nothing wrong with milking the game for all its worth, JUST DONT SAY YOU ARE THE BEST AND BEAT THE BEST WHEN TOU CLEARLY ARENT.

Beating someone that I thought would destroy them.. Then again, I won't say I respect him, but I do admire him. I'm talking about Brook btw
