  • Comments Thread For: Malignaggi: Floyd Beats Pacquiao, Not Sure About Khan

Former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi says Amir Khan has certainly earned the opportunity to challenge WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Malignaggi was stopped by Khan back in 2010, when the British boxer made his American debut in New York City.

There are ongoing negotiations for a fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. If those discussions fall apart, then Malignaggi strongly believes Khan should be next in line for a big Mayweather opportunity.

"I [Khan] he deserves the Mayweather fight."

A little bit off topic but can someone explain to me how these brackets [] work, it has been bugging me for a while. It seems like it would be logical to replace the pronoun "he" with [Khan], but instead the writer seems to replace "think" with [Khan]. Anyone?

They add the brackets to remind people they're talking about someone specifically, so people don't get lost.

Paulie is also on record saying he would beat Manny pacquiao also lol he's a big Manny hater but used to be a fan just like mayweather. I think all the haymon puppets are told to bash pacquiao and top rank whenever they get a chance

Ye but without the brackets it's not that the sentence might be confusing about which boxer they're talking about, it just doesn't make sense. They seemed to have removed "think" instead of "he".

Odd title for the article. It makes it seems like Paulie is talking about Pac Floyd mostly, and not sure about Khan part? That part makes the whole thing strange. Not sure about Khan what?

I think Khan is a tougher fight for Floyd than Manny due to styles.

                    Both good matchups tho.
