Comments Thread For: Bradley's Trainer: Tim Beats Rios/Alvarado on Same Night

On January 24th in Denver, Brandon Rios and Mike Alvarado will collide in an HBO televised trilogy battle. Rios (32-2-1, 23KOs) stopped Alvarado in seven rounds in 2012, and Alvarado got revenge in their March 2013 rematch with a twelve round unanimous decision.

There has been some talk of the Rios-Alvarado winner potentially facing former two division world champion Timothy Bradley (31-1-1, 12KOs).

There's always Kell Brook, but I doubt Eddie wants that fight.

          Bradley would outclass them both.

As much as I like Tim as a fighter, there is a strong possibility that he is on his down side as well. In the past I would agree with Diaz, but the fact that Tim doesn't always stick to his fight plan, makes me have doubts if he fights these guys. Tim needs to go back to strictly using his skills. He has nothing left to prove. He has fought the best and also proved he can be a crowd pleaser. But at this stage, if he is to become a champion again, he needs to box and use his experience and ability in the ring. If not, I don't think he could beat these more established welterweights like Brook or Khan.

When you consider Bradley fighting Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman, Amir Khan or Adrian Broner, the idea of him fighting Rios is such a let down.

The organization of the sport is utterly ridiculous. Can you imagine the afc not playing the NFC? People in boxing need to grow up, I've never seen such a spoiled, immature group of people in business in my entire life. It's pathetic.
