I guess Ward-Groves would be a good fight. Right?

Nah, I am a huge GGG fan, but Ward would school him.

GGG, isn't fast on his feet, and doesn't employ much head movement, and most importantly isn't even a real 168 pounder at all.

Ward would outbox him quite easily.

He is just happy to fight soon. Ring mag is contradicting its rules BTW. They still have him Ranked>?

I doubt it. Ward had trouble with Abraham's jab. GGG's jab >>>>> AA's jab. Then there's all of those other things GGG presents that AA doesn't. 3 G's are greater than 2 A's.

Ward will milk this year fighting nobodies... if he even fights...

Ward vs ggg is gonna be huge

Potentially ppv if Floyd-PAC happens because they could ride the wave after spotlight is on boxing

Jay z will probably perform at the fight etc

Ward takes no risks? It seems like that in hindsight (and to casuals) but wasn't it Ward who entered the Super Six tournament as the underdog?

Takes no challenges? You can't choose who you fight in a tournament. He beat all the "challenges". Kessler, Abraham, Froch. Then the Lineal LHW champion Chad Dawson who called him out at 168. It's hard to find many fighters with better resumes than that.

Ward will milk this year fighting nobodies? He's had 1 fight in more than 2 years, fighting a couple of tune-ups would be the normal procedure...
How long ago was that tournament LOL? Ward never left the U.S. the entire tourney and never subjected himself to random blood testing

I say just sit back in watch because most people said Jay-Z wouldn't even get his foot in the door & when he did said he won't get any serious fighters.

I learned to just pay attention when in doubt/unsure.

Ward isn't really serious about fighting these days though. He'll be just as happy getting Roc Nation dollars fighting twice, once or zero times a year. But maybe, since everyone's been scared of going against Uncle Haymon's wishes so far, that Ward's signing will encourage other fighters to stop being scared and sign up. Competition is a good thing - Haymon's control over so many fighters has already degraded the sport.

Here are the seven situations in which a champion can lose his belt:

The Champion loses a fight in the weight class in which he is champion.
The Champion moves to another weight class.
The Champion does not schedule a fight in any weight class for 18 months.
The Champion does not schedule a fight at his championship weight for 18 months (even if he fights at another weight).
The Champion does not schedule a fight with a Top-5 contender from any weight class for two years.
                      The Champion retires.
The Champion tests positive for a banned substance.
Ward should lose his Ring Champion status based on this rule, Rodriguez wasn't top 5.
