Would You Watch More MMA if There Were NO Wrestling/Grappling/GroundFighting?

I have often wondered how much more successful UFC could have been if they eliminated all the "ground fighting" (wrestling, grappling, rolling around looking for a tap-out, ground & pound, etc.). If it were purely a stand-up striking game, with some sort of knock-down system. Only punches, elbows, kicks, and knees are allowed.

Just about all of the fight fans I have had discussions with agree that the "ground game" in UFC is a major turn-off. Not many fight fans like to watch 2 guys rolling around on the ground looking for a tap-out, and nobody wants to see their favorite fighter being forced to submit from some lame-@ss armbar or w/e.

So, I'm curious, how many of you would watch more MMA if they eliminated the ground-game completely and implemented a knock-down system?

no.. what's the point.. then they'd just be **** boxers/kick boxers. I respect their range of skills. Jon Jones is brilliant.

Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, etc.

you know.. mixed martial arts, just without the wrestling and rolling around.

          NO TAP-OUTS. JUST KNOCK-OUTS.

That would be be dumb tbh, it would just be kickboxing then..

I agree that the grappling is pretty lame thats why i only watch Jon Jones now hes the only fighter worth watching, the rest are trash that cant even punch correctly or are on steroids.

Like i have said, Jon Jones and anderson silva are the only fighters worth watching in the UFC.

Why do you think Silva dominated ? because he has boxing skills better than anyone in the UFC.

Put pacman or floyd in the UFC and just teach them some ground game or takedown defense they would clean out the trash

It would have to be called BMMA then

              Barely Mixed Martial Arts.

just no ground fighting, I dont mind wrestling and grappling. or give ground fighting a time limit of 1 minute because its gets too gay for too long.

sounds like world combat league. it was entertaining but think it's dead now ... maybe they had ground stuff too though can't remember
