But the LHWs will always be there. They have nowhere to go because cruiserweight is a dead division. If Ward moves to LHW, he kisses the Golovkin matchup goodbye. It's proving impossible to get GGG up to 168, I doubt they'll ever even entertain the idea of going to 175 for a Ward fight.

Ward needs to stay at 168 and defend his lineal title. He could have entertaining fights vs. Gennady Golovkin, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Andre Direll, James Degale, and George Groves. At 175, there are two names, Kovalev and Stevenson. That's it right now. Hopkins is 50, Pascal is about to fight a monster, Bute is a bum, and Beterbiev is green. Give it 2 more years, and there will be about 4-5 interesting matchups at LHW instead of 2.

I'm glad someone here has some sense. It's always about GGG...and why ggg won't move out. All this bullshhhh for one fighter? People here love to use the word "******" while being a living definition of it. The article isn't about GGG but of course he had to surface here to justify sitting at a division you practically were done with almost 4 years ago....
I don't got no double standards bro, it's just that everyone here swears that GGG is being ducked by everyone, his team says they're willing to fight anybody anywhere from 154-168. Here's a guy at 168, ready and willing, and "Ward needs to move up" **** comes along. His fanboys and his team need to stop talking then I guess if they aren't willing to back up their **** talk.

He was 165 30 days before Rubio. He was 161 5 days prior. Most SWWs are heavier at that stage

So you are saying Ward should stay at a division where he has no other meaningful opponent just so he can fight another guy who is trying to unify titles a division lower? Ok...Ward cannot fight Chavez or anyone else at 168 signed to Haymon. So what meaningful fight besides that does he have? ZERO. I'm sorry but i'm so over the world should come to Andre Ward, the man has not had a legit opponent since 2011 and that is an indisputable fact. Get over the obsession with GGG that man is in his own lane trying to become lineal himself. Move up or stay in your division but stop obsessing over ppl coming to you.

Ward is about as exciting in the ring as pulling up a chair to watch paint dry on a very humid summer evening! Dude grow a pair, leave Oakland for once and fight someone with a pulse! Not some weight drained Dawson dropping down, stop calling out a Middleweight in GGG cuz as you just stated and I quote "I'm not ready for 175 my body has to grow into it"! So why you want a guy who fights at 160 to jump to face you although I think that GGG would be one of the guys that could starch you also, if he makes the move up. At least GGG is more entertaining to watch and he'll fight anywhere unlike Mr. I'm the champ and I wanna fight in Oakland only so I can get a home-cooked boring ass decision. When was the last time Ward legitimately knocked someone out and spare me with Dawson's weight drained a-s-s.
here is some home schooling for you - say the same about GGG - he will move up for Froch or Chavez Jr. but not the best in Ward? if his style is too boring hold and hit as you haters say then why is he rated p4p? the fighter you guys describe is john ruiz and last I checked john ruiz was not p4p anything! you summed your knowledge up by at least saying GGG is more entertaining, yes against bums but not elite fighters at all. Dawson Called Ward out and on TV said they could do it at 168! please homie you are just a hater for no reason. I like how Ward handles his opponents, can't get a KO in every fight especially at the top level which GGG has not broken yet. Your post had a lot of venom in it like you personally do not like Ward or fighters like Ward - remember boxing is one of the most diplomatic sports in the world! don't make your hate or disdain for one's style make you personally hate or have disdain for that man's character - Andre Ward does not put enuff negative energy out there to warrant any of the hate this man receives, and neither does GGG - these 2 guys are very classy individuals that both competed for their countries respectively - stop bringing evil to the equation. Your post was a rant, nothing more and a lot less

He can stay at 168 and fight contenders. 175 is not a "HOT" division. The biggest fight in years was a 50 year old man vs a Russian. Just sayin. Kovalev is a beast, but if Froch was willing to step up they could fight again. I mean, everyone here loves to talk about how Froch is #1 at SMW because Ward is retired. He could fight De Geale, Groves, Gilberto Ramirez. Chavez Jr, or is it only a good fight if Froch wants to fight him? There's plenty of fights at 168. 175 is ****. What's left after Kovalev vs PASCAL, let me say it again PASCAL lol Aducknis? After that fight then what? that Beterbiev guy has like 6 fights.
