That's someone telling you the facts as he prepares for his final fight.

He has been told by the guys who televise the fights that a Golovkin fight is not PPV, despite what some posters on here seem to think.

He's going out on one last fight, having fought the best over his career, and he wants it to be a mega fight PPV that is actually a great fight - Chavez fits the bill.

the reason everyone comes out with other excuses other than "becuase he'll prolly knock me the fck out" tells you that fighter probably thinks, hes gna get knocked the fck out. lol

nd tbh, the single only person that is ppv in your division is chavez so hence, NOBODY IS PPV but chavez anyway. lol

If you do start to consider GGG - Froch bout as plausible you should regard the next thing:

GGG and Karl are incomparable if you look at the size. The only smw which is comparable with GGG is Ward. Everyone who took a look at smw tops sizes knows about it..

Not PPV - it's barely truth.. Compare bouts GGG - Jr and Froch - Jr. What would you prefer? The problem with GGG fights is in the other side of the bout - no doubts.

Karl is not popular enough outside UK to make big money fighting boxers which have less than huge support. That's why they do consider Chavez..

I'm very tired of this nonsense. Froch - GGG is 100% a ppv fight in Britain. Froch simply doesn't want to fight him, because GGG would legit KO him.

There are only two fighters on the planet that are PPV, Pac and May, all the rest can only be in PPV fights if its the right fight, Froch included. Haye has headlined PPV fights, does that make him a PPV fighter per se? Of course not. Hell, Khan - Brook would be a huge PPV in UK that does not make them PPV stars, but the right fight is all it takes for PPV to be possible.

Froch is looking for reasons to avoid GGG, that is the simple truth. Look at Chavez then look at GGG, of course Chavez is the option anyone would take. And GGG would be the real fight to show if Froch can cement a legacy.

For some reason I don't have a problem what Froch said. He's a veteran that's payed his dues and I don't have a problem with him cashing out against Chavez Jr.

If I'm not mistaken Chavez was offered more for the GGG fight by Arum.

It was a very similar amount to what Chavez was offered to face Froch. All before Chavez refused the fight extension.

This proves, that GGG is an incredibly enticing opponent if matched up against a big time opponent. Froch doesn't want to face a killer in GGG, but don't act like theres no money there. In the amount of time Froch has spent making up reasons why he won't fight guys, he could've easily fought GGG and Degale.

Sorry Killer Jones, Wrong. All wrong.

Brook and Khan would be a huge PPV because they are both British. Just like the second Groves Froch fight that could be huge.

But you are tripping if you think GGG is PPV worthy over here. Britain is home of the casual boxing fan, and most of those won't have a clue who GGG is my friend.

Carl is looking for that big Vegas payday for his last fight, and he's been honest about that from the start. Most posters agree he's earned it, while others seem to use it to fit their agenda and call him out for ducking Ward/De Gale/160lb GGG/Dirrell/Groves for a third time.

He's proven he's the second best SMW of his time, and that time has nearly come to an end. He can't hang around to keep proving that over and over, against whoever your favourite fighter within the 3 nearest weight classes might be. Don't forget also he's already old as ****.

Also GGG, for all the hype, has done nothing to earn this fight yet. Better he stays on track to fight Cotto v Canelo winner than start calling out 168lb'ers before he's taken care of his own division.

Carl is chasing the money for his retirement fund, and who'd begrudge him that?

P.s don't accuse a warrior like Carl of ducking, makes you sound like a ****.

Chavez Jr. might actually be a bigger star than Miguel Cotto. I think Cotto's PPV appeal although still top 5 in the sport for sure.. is not really number 3. Chavez Jr. and Canelo are bigger draws.

Chavez Jr. and Cotto both fought Martinez and Chavez Jr. sold 475K while Cotto did 350K with the same fighter (Arum's excuse that there are too many PPV events wouldn't matter because Chavez had to deal with the same conditions)...

How is Cotto a bigger draw than Chavez Jr.? Canelo also did way more PPVs with Mayweather and Cotto-Mayweather had Canelo-Mosley on the undercard which is unheard of...

Floyd is the number 1 draw but not above Pac as everyone thinks by much... Pac is 2 obviously... 3-4 is Chavez Jr./Canelo not sure which order and 5. is Cotto but the next fighter after Cotto is way below him...

There is no doubt that Cotto-Canelo is the goal now..and next will be Canelo-Chavez Jr...which will actually sell more PPVs than Cotto-Canelo I believe...

But to relate it to this article... Chavez Jr. is arguably the 3rd biggest draw in boxing... and Andre Ward is not even in the top 10... Triple G's TV ratings are much better than Ward's as well... So Ward makes no sense for Froch especially when Ward will not fight outside of the U.S. and still has not undergone blood-testing... which I'm surprised no one has made a big deal about... these long layoffs between fights are very su****ious as well... (I know promoter disputes... hmm... are we sure?...)
