According to Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports, the legal dispute between Golden Boy Promotions and former CEO Richard Schaefer has finally been settled. Schaefer was the man in charge of Golden Boy until leaving the company last June. Golden Boy then reportedly filed a $50 million dollar legal claim against Schaefer and claimed he was still under contract to them until 2018.
The terms of the settlement are unknown, but Iole reports that an army of fighters who are managed/advised by Al Haymon will be leaving Golden Boy - including Danny Garcia and Adrien Broner. Other Haymon-advised fighters, like Leo Santa Cruz, Amir Khan and Lucas Matthysse, will remain with Golden Boy because their company still has them under contract.
