Everyone knows he has a lot of money, but guess what? Pumping excessive money in to something is a horrible business plan. The whole point of business is to cut costs and maximize profits.

That 50 cent boxing promotion really worked out didn't it?

Here's what the man himself had to say about JayZ's latest hobby

1 loss is all it takes for people to lose "all interest" in fighters now? What is this ****

This reminds me of the MMA promotion "infliction" It was a promotion made by an ugly low class american t-shirt company and they paid journeymen who have never made over $100,000 in a fight, $700,000 each and $1.4 million to a washed up UFC fighter who never even made a quarter of that before. Needless to say they did 2 events and went bankrupt the week before their 3rd event.

This is what will happen, mark my words.

The intent of the recent Roc Nation offers to Wilder, Thurman, and Broner was to disrupt Haymon's happy circle. RN made the offers knowing they would be turned down due to the fighter's contracts. Expect more fighters like J-Rock, Spence, and a few more to receive offers if they haven't already and just kept mum. By doing thin RN puts pressure on Haymon to keep overpaying his clients as he's going through a transition.

50 cent was never a real business man. He listened to a financial adviser who told him to take his rap money and invest it into vitamin water. He got lucky.

            Not very true

            1. He's signed a deal with Disney and Marvel for his energy drink

            2. Signed a deal with Intel for his headphones

            3. Secured a second season for his show "Power" with Starz network

            4. Invested money in producing documentary and movies including the Tapia docu which aired on HBO

            5. Signed a 75 mil deal with a clothes manufacturing company to produce underwear

I could go on. when you type please think first, there is no LUCK in business

Did you even read a thing that he said? The guys smart as hell and knows how to invest money, he just ****ed up by thinking he could be a successful boxing promoter. JayZ is in for a rude awakening and nobody knows that more than a successful businessman like 50 cent.

As apposed to most rich black guys who take their NFL or Rap music savings and lose it within 5 years? Every successful businessman on the planet has a financial adviser so I'm not sure why you're trying to discredit him with that.

Do you have a link for this or is it just your opinion?

Everything you and the previous poster are correct about his success, but it's actually pretty common among many celebrities, but it's not the celebrities who are putting in the research to find what ventures to go into. They simply have a large sum of money and guided. From Michael Jordan to the Olson twins, the real work comes from the finance people. Just like Jay Z has some very good finance people working for him.

whats really going on is probably just a mixture of everyones ideas.
                      - they offering big money knowing al haymon will tell his fighters to tell jayz to **** off. This probably to expose/discredit haymon, the fighters, duckery, the backroom deals, hypocrisy, etc.
                      - have they even taken any fighters from haymon? they all said no, so he only overpaid for ward so far?
                      - maybe this is irrelevant, but this **** seems like jayz is just trying to one-up haymon or something. remember that haymon tried to do beyonce dirty.
                      - also, jayz is a rich mother****er. he just bought a damn thai phuket island for his TODDLER daughter. now with that said, the man is married. unless they signed some prenup or some ****, his money is hers and her money is his. so regardless of if jayz has seemingly endless capital to throw around, you know beyonce will not be having that ****. if jayz loses too much money on boxing that he cannot buy a country for Blue's sweet sixteen, beyonce will kill his ass. would probably ray rice him in the elevator to one up solange.
