Agree with this statement. Its Divide and conquer technique used by Roc Sports with the backing of HBO.

Fight 4 times a year? Haha yea right, AB. You fight TWICE a year. Thats FOUR MILLION a fight, you idiot. More than you've ever made for 1 fight.

I can understand where Broner is coming from, but I'd have kept quiet.

Depending on how his career turns out, he could shoot himself in the foot as the contract offered would tie him down for 5 years. He'd be getting about 4 million a fight, when a couple of years down the line he could be in a position where he could command 8 mil a fight and receive more than 2 a year.

I'd have kept my mouth shut if I were him because it is a stable option, and keeping his options opens puts more pressure on the other people dealing with him.

This is just the beginning.Haymon fighters will start to become discontented with their earnings under Al.Broner really wanted to say yes,two fights a year at 4m his earnings I would be shocked if earned a quarter of that last year,we know Quillin had to turn a quarter or so of that down because his contract with Al didnt allow him to defend himself.their careers are in the hands of their advisor who was offering the best offers, now Jay is on the scene, thangs have changed.

This is Haymon telling Broner what to say and nothing more. He's mad because Jay-Z is coming in with a bank roll trolling the **** out of Haymon and he can't stand it. But, Haymon basically controls any boxer he has from now to eternity so those are the real fools.

Broner is pretty valuable and really when you talk about staying power in boxing Broner is going to have it. Not because he is that good, but is is a solid tough fighter who has some talent but he seems to lack the dedication tot he game to be a true top end star although he might win a big fight as he will get ample chances.

People will say to see the cat lose for a long long time which will get him shots, as long as he wins some and wins the ones he should he would carve out a nice niche.

In the long term that is a good deal for Broner IMO but he could do much better short run, so as long as he can keep the train on the tracks for a bit he should do no worse that that deal. I would be shocked if he makes $8 million in a year 5 years from now though~
