Not the first time a father and son have disagreed. But the dad has a point about the US TV Networks. Not Leo's fault nobody wants to air Rigos fights.

Showtime would air Rigo vs. Santa Cruz

Poor Rigo he truly is the boogey man at 122. LSC is a damn duck I love how clowns are trying to spin this in a negative light towards Rigo. This place is a damn joke. Only certain fighters can duck while other's are clowned left and right for supposedly ducking.

" he runs, hugs, pushes or shoves his rivals...": what a load of bull****. They say they care about the fans, but they lie to them. Santa Cruz just wants big money and easy fights, the Al Haymon way. Pathetic.

I'm sure this is the case with many boxers. The fighter might want to go through with it, but there's almost always someone in his team that's thinking about taking a different path.

Yeah, I think so too. The problem here is the fact that his Father is his trainer as well, and he doesn't want the fight for his son in both roles. Perhaps Leo is being honest and is getting sick of being labeled a duck and afraid of Rigo, but for as long as his father trains him and he stands against this fight... the whole calling Rigo out is a publicity stunt.

I almost feel like Jose Santa Cruz might have accidentally spilled more than he should have. We will see how much character Leo truly has if so, I expect nothing but negative backlash from this and it would bring out Leo's true colors. He will either defy his father and fight Rigo to salvage his pride as a man or let it go and hide behind his father's decisions. We will see.

If Rigo was Mexican, the Mexicans would love him. If he was Puerto Rican, the puerto Ricans would love him. If he was American, the Americans would love him. SMF! If Rigo was this guys son he would have nothing but praise for him.
Just say the truth. Your sons style would get him looking like Rigos last opponent. I SMELL PUZZY!!!
