Kovalev is waiting for him as well...but we already heard Ward's excuse for not taking that fight...

Ward needs to fulfill his contract first before anyone can sign him as you know...

Great move by Roc Nation to get a boxing insider to help guide them. He's at the very least a respectable talent scout that know's the in's and out's of the politc's. Curious what Shaw can do with some serious financial backing and some rep behind him. Gotta think the name Jay Z can sway some young talent Gary's way.

What the hell did they buy? Jennings gets stopped in 2 and rest are irrelevant.

That would be awesome if Wilder gets lucky and beat Stiverne, then Jennings would come along and beat him. Roc Nation offered that huge contract to Wilder, only for him to turn it down per Haymon.

This is the type of move that Roc Nation should've been trying to make in the first place, especially after putting everyone on notice with their purse bid for the Quillin-Korobov fight.

With Gary Shaw, his company and, most importantly, his fighters now under the Roc Nation Sports umbrella, the infrastructure is now starting to be put into place.

Personally, I think Roc Nation needs to talk with GoosenTutor and Andre Ward, to see if they can't come to some solution that would get Ward back into the ring.

Right, and Roc Nation already has David Itskowitch as the COO, who's "a respected boxing executive and promoter with nearly two decades of experience" under his belt. Seems to me Roc Nation is really building something here.

In 5 years, Golden Boy Promotions isn't even going to be a viable company, for the simple fact that by that time, in all likelihood, Oscar would've likely have done something damaging enough to have Hopkins wash his hands of the company and Alvarez commit fully to putting on his own fights under the Canelo Promotions banner on his own.

Five years from now, Canelo(29), Danny Garcia(31), Kell Brook(33), Terrence Crawford(32), Keith Thurman(31), Mikey Garcia(32), Demetrius Andrade(31), Adrien Broner(30), the Charlo twins(29), Errol Spence Jr(29), Deontay Wilder(34), Bryant Jennings(35), and Andre Ward(35), with a few others, are going to be the names spoken of.

How many of those names are actually with either company? lol

That is a very solid and much needed foothold for Roc.
