James Toney would be high on my list. He had all the talent and skill in the world.

If only he didn't get so lazy in terms of staying in shape.

Absolutely.

Guys talk about great defence and counter punching, James Toney at his best is possibly the best I've ever seen at it.

He'd sit right there in the pocket and just roll punches like it was nothing and let the momentum of his body carry back his counter shots with power. He was a master.





Even when he wasn't in the best shape, he could still put on technical clinics like he did against Jirov...which remains one of my all time favourite fights.
