Sulaiman and the WBC are useless and should just be abolished

Just been hearing chatter from Sulaiman lately but, what he says doesn't really matter. The boxing fans have been hoping that he and the WBC would have made boxing in a better state than it is today, but they failed.

The WBC failed the boxing fans by failing to impose mandatory fights for champions who hold their belts, strip champions of belts, or impose default loss records to champions who refuse to fight a mandatory challenger.

This also applies to all the other boxing sanctioning bodies to just "self-destruct".

The whole WBC mando stuff sounds good so far with GGG/Cotto, The HW picture, LHW division and so on.... but it all comes down to if they enforce it... if not, they're just spouting the same old shit

Mauricio Sulaiman's short reign has been hugely positive so far. There have been plenty of years to complain about the WBC's actions but right now they seem to be making a lot of positive steps. Hopefully it will continue.

Yup, what they're saying sounds great... let's see if they actually enforce it though

          Improving lately

Forcing Stevenson to fight kova - that's unprecedented to force a unification

And they had a meeting with WBA and IBF

All they did is find a way to make more money, but they seem to be doing it in a way that is better for the sport. Not too much to be mad about if it actually works.

I hear they're going to be doing year round random testing with VADA for all their champions now

This is completely true when Jose reigned. Now that he's gone, the WBC seems to be taking steps in the right direction, as others have mentioned.

IMO, the WBC title is the most recognized and prestigious belt among all the other million alphabet titles. I say do away with the other ones (IBF, WBO, IBO). Two titles in each division (WBC and WBA) would sit just fine with me, I'm all about unification bouts.

At least they didn't allow Garcia vs Salka to be a title fight lol

Sulaiman the Younger is like Pope Francis to Don Jose's Pope Benedict. He's been saying and doing the right things so far.

Wouldn't anticipate any miracles though, they're still the WBC.
