LMAO..........no kidding man. I can imagine Layne saying this for real, literally. That guy is an A-class character. You can tell he means well but has appeared to be a spiritual genius up until now because Algieri has just been better than his competition. Once he stepped up, he got stepped on.

If the guy was smart he would've kept his trap shut with all that hot air and been as humble as Joe Louis in the lead-up.
I agree. Algieri seems like a swell guy and all but he is as pompous as they come. He is like the b-rated Amir Khan without the hype. I couldn't believe how he was talking like he was going to steam roll Pac and then take out Mayweather....please son, these dudes aren't average boxers, they are like 20 levels beyond what you have ever seen before.

            That corner was embarrassing.

I bet he got 2nd hand embarrassment watching the tape. Plus all his family and friends were watching. lmao

Tim 'Bring the Pain' Lane has to be fired - and it looks like Algieri is going to drop him like a hot rock.

                And rightly so.

Aside form all the ridiculous corner advice he gave, Lane lacks experience in professional boxing - he is a kick boxing coach.

He sells those ****** 'warrior crystals' and 'protective oils' on his website FFS.

Hate on Roach if you like but he was 100% right when he said Algieri and his team were hopelessly out of their depth.

If Algieri keeps Lane on his team he will never be taken seriously, and never improve as a professional boxer.

I think Freddie Roach would be perfect for him.

It's absolutely embarassing if you ask me , not to mention his "meow-meow-maow" sounds while patting the heavy bag :
