Honestly I don't see how can Canelo gain more beating Cotto than Lara, Lara is a far more dangerous and better boxer than Cotto, and Canelo already beat him.

Not to far are these people who think that after dismantling Martinez the way he did last year he's gonna do the same to Canelo.

If the fights happens, Cotto's corner is gonna throw the towel or the referee is gonna stop the fight, Canelo is gonna beat the crap out of Cotto.

I love the match in stylistic terms but to me is not a fair match, I'd rather see Canelo vs Andrade or Kirkland...............GGG? not that far, at this point I think GGG Would KO Canelo very bad.

canelo had to chase lara the entire fight... running behind the marathon runner aint no easy task... i will give you that for the angulo fight, but not the lara fight, that tested canelos stamina specially in the last round...

If Canelo wanted to make a statement, he'd go after Golovkin. Taking away his "0" would be huge. All he's looking to do is what Cotto did, take out an older fighter that has been to war many times. I hope Cotto beats the breaks off of him, and I personally think he has the tools to do so. Laugh all you want Canelo lovers, but Cotto is a true warrior in every sense of the word.

Cotto needs the fight. Canelo defeated Lara and Angulo, both able to defeat Cotto. His loss vs Floyd was because of weight drain and nervousness, in a remtach he wins. Floyd was unable to hurt him just his usual hit and run fight. Also, Mexican fans are the A side here. Canelo has more fans. Cotto can only win in Ny and surrounding areas were there are quite a few Mexicans too. Canelo owns the South West, 20 times the size of New York, and Chicago too. Cotto is simply afraid of Mexicans after Margarito. He was afraid of Rubio, Angulo, Chavez Jr, etc.

Lara has power if he pulls the trigger and lands a clean counter, but he's no human wrecking ball. If anything their Angulo fights proved Canelo's power is overrated more than Lara's being underrated. Canelo's bread and butter isn't come forward fighters...it's human punching bags. What reputable slugger has he beat that either didn't come up in weight or was completely faded?
