Honestly I don't see how can Canelo gain more beating Cotto than Lara, Lara is a far more dangerous and better boxer than Cotto, and Canelo already beat him.

Not to far are these people who think that after dismantling Martinez the way he did last year he's gonna do the same to Canelo.

If the fights happens, Cotto's corner is gonna throw the towel or the referee is gonna stop the fight, Canelo is gonna beat the crap out of Cotto.

I love the match in stylistic terms but to me is not a fair match, I'd rather see Canelo vs Andrade or Kirkland...............GGG? not that far, at this point I think GGG Would KO Canelo very bad.

Cotto's place in the hall of fame is secured. Lara's isn't. Cotto is a four division champion, Lara has only held the regular WBA title. Not to mention, Lara hasn't been in there with half the legends that Cotto has. Canelo definitely needs Cotto more than Cotto needs him.

I can't deny Cotto is a HoF and he's been there with the best of the best, but he's a legendary welterweight, he shouldn't be there fighting with Jr. Middleweights or Middleweights, name just one legit Jr. Middleweight he's fought with, Mayorga, Foreman, Rodriguez?

He lost to a top Jr. Middle(Trout), Lara, Andrade, Kirkland, Charlo Bros, Canelo all those top Jr. will beat him. Martinez was a superb demonstration against odds but he won't do the same to another middleweight.

Cotto won't do **** for Canelo's he's not a threat to Canelo at all.

BTW I never referred to Canelo needing Cotto more or visceversa, I just gave my point that beating Cotto now doesn't do anything for Canelo.

I'm not here to discuss Cotto status, It's crystal clear that Cotto's historical status will be a hell better than Lara, but if he were to fight Lara, Lara would outbox the **** out of him.

Cotto is a hall of famer no doubt about it, I don't see Lara being a Hall of Famer by anymeans, but Lara is a more skilled and dangerous boxer than Cotto right now.

Ask yourself this question, Why Canelo is looking so desperate to fight Cotto?.......Canelo is gonna look spectacular if he fights Cotto, mark my words.
