Rigondeaux Vs Amagasa gets 11 viewers million!

The most successful of those was the TBS televised card which featured Hisashi Amagasa (28-5-2, 19) fighting against Guillermo Rigondeaux and Kazuto Ioka (16-1, 10) fighting against Jean Piero Perez. This card got an amazing 9.0% of the audience, which we've been told was around 11 million, not the widely reported 30 million. For 30 millions the channel would have had to have had around around 24% on the viewing population.
All the other shows at the end of the year did pretty well too apparently-
At the end of 2014 Japanese boxing fans had a real treat with a trio of major televised shows. Those shows may not have set new viewing figures but they did hit millions of households in what was...

A lot of people don't know this but December 31st boxing cards always do great in Japan. It's like our May 5th.

Which is why they already want Rigondeaux on this year's Dec 31st card again. He found a really good market and should keep fighting there since its good money, fair judging and people will appreciate him in Japan. He should do that until guys like LSC grow a pair.

I agree, Japan is the best thing that could happen to rigo right now. They say that they want him back in June and again in December. I say he makes japan his new home. He also talked about how appreciated he felt by the Japanese public when he fought there.
