Same way Floyd said that manny needs to sign to Mayweather promotions before it was really a promotional company with a legit llc to make the fight and Floyd said that I'll give you 40 million 20 now and 20 later flat verified by Floyd himself with no upside yeah manny is really trying to blow this deal and fighy give me a break. Al haymon is Floyds boss and he knows that Floyds appeal is dying and no one is being fooled anymore which is why Floyd came out looking like a wwe wrestler with his showtime interview. Facts are facts first negotiation manny messed up 2nd negotiations manny agreed to everything Floyd says no Floyd comes up with bs offer with no real backing knowing that manny can't accept an offer due to top rank but to *****s Floyd was offering manny a good deal. Any negotiations were killed because of golden boy and top rank showtime HBO it all became non starters and Floyd was using excuses and belittling manny left and right ....... Floyd has no excuses left his ass is in a bind and he knows no one but his die hard fans will believe his usual bs that his next fight will be against a young strong champion and the next guy is deserving because he beat this guy and that guy none of that matters anymore.... JUST SIGN THE DAMN CONTRACT GET IN THE RING AND FINISH THIS LET THE BEST MAN WIN.

Why are ppl acting like Floyd bought up the date as a roadblock? That was all arum. It's crazy how the dude gets blamed for anything that goes wrong even when the other side acknowledges they caused the issue.

Promoting a fight isn't about selling it to people like us who are hanging on every last tweet and news tidbit awaiting for the announcement. It's about selling it to people who wouldn't otherwise buy it.

I think Pacquiao realized that Arum might fuck this up again, everything we were hearing was that talks are happening but everything was up in the air. After that Fighthype article came out with Pacquiao telling his lawyer to talk to Floyd to see if Arum and Konz were actually trying to make the fight, now we are seeing more press clippings about offers and counter offers.

I think Arum and Konz were bluffing trying to squeeze out every penny but Mayweather and SHO didn't budge, now Pacquiao is pressuring Arum to make this fight happen and not blow it over 5-10%.

I think there's a very good chance the fight will happen finally.

I give Pacquiao props for finally stepping up instead of crying duck while hiding under Arum's skirt.

Still doesn't need much promoting, every media outlet will push this. This isn't trying to convince the public that said-opponent can beat Mayweather or Pacquiao, these two are well established and the public already knows what they bring to the ring. It doesn't need more time than that, at all.

Because Arum is the epitome of dishonest and it's obvious to anyone with a clue that he wants to make Cotto Canelo on that date.

Now, when has Arum come out and said he's ok with Mayweather Pacquiao happening on May 2nd?

When Bob Arum said May 2nd was only for Mexicans, I felt like shooting myself in anger. I always blamed Mayweather for the fight not happening, but that "Mexican date only" shid was pathetic and if Mayweather needed something to prove that he wasn't the one avoiding the fight, then Bob Arum gave it to him.

Why wouldn't he? It's a Mexican holiday and the fight involves Mexico's biggest star against a Puerto Rican. OF COURSE he would want it to be on that date. What promoter worth his salt wouldn't want that?

Doesn't change the fact that he never ruled out May 2nd for Mayweather-Pacquaio if that's what it has to be to satisfy Mayweather.
