Last month, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum was very adamant about Saul "Canelo" Alvarez deserving the Cinco De Mayo date of May 2nd. He felt Floyd Mayweather Jr. was "poaching" the lucrative date from the Mexican fighters. Canelo and Mayweather are having a tug of war over the May date.
But Arum's star fighter, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, has no problem fighting Mayweather on May 2. Arum had previously suggested a potential pay-per-view date in April or June for Mayweather-Pacquiao.
