Comments Thread For: Tarver: Pacquiao Will Test Mayweather Like Never Before

Former champion Antonio Tarver is predicting a very exciting fight - if welterweight champions Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao finalize a deal to face each other in the coming months.

Several fighters, including Pacquiao's most recent opponent Chris Algieri, predicted a one-sided victory in favor of Mayweather. Tarver sees things differently. He expects Mayweather to have the toughest contest of his career and potentially be forced to dig deep after getting rocked by the Filipino fighter.

The difference between pac and the moselys and maidanas is pac is not gonna land one good punch. Those punches will come in punches. It's gonna be interesting how floyd reacts. Will he backpedal and go on a survival mode like mosely or fight like morales, marquez and barera. It's too bad we will probably never find out.

Floyd with his unreasonable money-split demands doesn't want the fight... we should have known this from when he offered Pac $40 million with no share of the PPV revenue...that might be the most ridiculous offer made in boxing history especially after he supposedly agreed to 50-50 two years before and Pac was number 1 pound for pound still and still was an unstoppable machine...

Floyd is too much of a pot shotter to deal with Manny, especially now.

He would rather lay on the ropes, which spells disaster.

Good to hear an unbiased opinion on the fight

Tarver was a good analyst for Showtime

He is close to haymon. Haymon bailed him out recently . Despite that, he gives an fair assessment on a haymon fighter unlike paulie.

I honestly think Floyd will shell up and give away too many rounds and lose a close fight

In before fl0mos say "tarver racist against blacks doe"

Floyd was never hurt at any stage against Zab besides the low blows.

Pacquiao don't hit as hard as Shane at 147, i can't see Pacquiao landing a big shot to put Mayweather on ***** street.

Floyd went down from a Judah left hand.

It's not Pacquiaos power, it's his speed. He is faster than Floyd.
