I like Mora and I hope he wins the belt. Taylor is shot but not as shot as we think he was beating Soliman fairly easy before he suffered the injury. Just sound fundamentally.

yeah it was pretty much a sparring session up until that point. taylor probably went easy on him knowing the leg was messed up. probably the best thing that could have happened to soliman

Normally Jake writes a good article... this time though he seems to get a bit too opinionated about Taylor... and the Soliman fight was Oct, not Aug.

But past that, this is another Biloxi trip for me. We rarely ever get any fights within a few hours of here, unless you call the half-a-round blowouts in Atlanta actual fights. Haven't always been a Taylor fan but am one now. Any fighter who can fight through the bottom and get a title again, gets my respect.

He doesn't have that piston jab he had when he was plowing thru guys like Joppy on the way to his first title, but I think he'll have enough for Mora. Never have been a latin snake fan. Guy is boring with little power IMO. To each their own though.

To me he was losing. Soliman couldn't find his range looked abit amateurish. His lil bursts in the beginning rounds were his only little success but Taylor outboxed him fairly easy.

Taylor didn't throw a punch until the fifth or sixth round. He won purely because the cripple could barely stand on his own two feet.

Mora might be too slick for Taylor at this point. I realize he probably was picked because he's not much of a puncher, but surely there was a better voluntary candidate. Risky fight for Jermain.

People underrate Mora. He can take Jermain's belt, but I fear he would be robbed on the cards.
