Thurman didn't look a threat against a 40 year old Euro level fighter and that was the point. If he'd done what he promised to do then more people would be calling for him to get a big fight. His stock went down instead of up.

Ok, he still dominated him but didn't get a knockout. Bundy was undefeated so he obviously brings some type of craftiness. Thurman still won about 11 rounds plus a knockdown. I have no problem with the win.

I thought it was an OK performance. You were impressed. We're hardcore fans. We already know Thurman. A lot of fans in attendance at the MGM or watching at home may never have seen him before. There were a lot more new eyes on him and their first impression wasn't good.

Casual fans aren't going to care who Bundu is. All they're going to remember is some dude talking about knocking out Mayweather and KOs 4 life and then failing to deliver.

You're confusing hardcore fans with the wider audience. You have to grab the wider audience attention straight away to get big fights. No one outside of these forums is going to care about Keith Thurman right now.

Well at this point, no one outside of these forums are going to be caring about anybody right now except for Pacquiao and Mayweather. Even Khan's win over Devon isn't being talked about that much.

But make no mistake, even casual fans have the internet and can look up some things on boxers if they're curious enough. Now that Bundu has fought in the US, more people will notice him and will find out more about him.
