Daniel Calzada is the epitome of the term ‘Road Warrior’. He fights anyone anyplace anytime on any notice. The man does not turn down fights, period. He had an incredible run in 2013 which saw him in the ring on 7 occasions. He slowed down a bit in 2014 having 4 fights. He proved his previous win over Alfred Romero was no fluke as he won again in February. He then lost a decision to Manuel Perez in a very good fight. Next he hit the road to face TMT fighter Ashley ‘Treasure’ Theophane on the Love-Medina undercard in Las Vegas. He finished the year in nearby Nebraska, fighting yet another undefeated Top Rank prospect in Alex Saucedo, 15-0, 11KOs. Saucedo busted Calzada up but the Balls of Steel Warrior refused to go away and stayed in the fight the full six rounds. Calzada is as tough as they come and these guys truly are the lifeblood of the sport.
