Comments Thread For: Ricardo Mayorga's Return Slated For March 21, Bulgaria

The date of March 21, in Bulgaria, is the current scenario for the ring return of former two division world champion Ricardo Mayorga (31-8-1, 25KOs).

The 41-year-old boxer returned last September after more than three years of being away from the ring. He had a first round stoppage over journeyman Allen Medina in Oklahoma and then returned last month to stop Andrik Saralegui in five rounds in Nicaragua.

Mayorga seems more like a Peter Quillin opponent. Oh wait, Quillin doesn't even have his fake title anymore.

I like what Mayorga is doing. He's following Shannon Briggs' example of staying active and somewhat sharp. Sadly I don't think he'll win if he gets a decent fight at some point.

I always enjoyed Mayorga's fights and interviews.

The guy was limited, but hilarious.

There are not many like him nowadays and boxing is poorer because of it.
