Félix 'El Diamante' Verdejo (16-0, 12KOs) had a very busy year in 2014, with seven victories. Verdejo was last seen in action on December 13 in Philadelphia with a third round stoppage win over Karim El Ouazghari. The hot prospect will make his return on February 28 in Tampa, Florida, according to manager and trainer Ricky Marquez. It will be his final eight round bout before moving on to ten rounders. The card will air on 'Solo Boxeo Tecate' series on Univision.

How high are you on felix? I think this kid is the next big thing in the sport

I really like this kid he seems promising. Just keep him active and build him up steadily. Right now Puerto Rico is rushing too much of their young talent to failure Top Rank is doing a good job with Felix.

I see boxing is making an appearance in Tampa. In Oct or Nov they had a card here and I wasnt able to make it. Definitely making it to this one.

If Salido and Martinez engage in a brutal 12 round war - which is very likely. Then I think this is the perfect fight for mid to end of 2015
