Ruiz has a draw with Andres Gutierrez (who has a final eliminator with Hugo Ruiz to become Santa Cruz's mandatory coming up), a K.O. win over Ruben Tamayo (the opponent Jesus Cuellar just knocked out recently), and a win over Enrique Quevedo (the guy who knocked out Yoandris Salinas, the same Salinas that Scott Quigg fough to a draw with).

I do notice that a lot of the people that knock Santa Cruz are Frampton and Quigg fans though. They like to pretend Frampton and Quigg are fighting future Hall Of Famers and aren't ducking Rigondeaux, .
The difference is that both Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton have offered to fight Santa Cruz and been rejected.

Santa Cruz isn't just ducking Rigondeaux. He's ducking the entire division.

I have a hard time believing the Quigg part. I've heard Leo was sent an offer etc as we have touched on this some time ago, but Quigg won't even fight Galahad let alone Frampton and I don't even like Kid Galahad, but as a domestic bout and given how UK market thrives on these clashes you'd think he would've fought him. I mean it would at least be better than his last fight against the Japanese fellow.

It was confirmed by both Hearn and Santa Cruz's people that Quigg offered to fight him. In the UK or the US.

The Galahad fight doesn't make much sense for Quigg right now in all honesty.

This crap will continue as long as Showtime continues to buy the garbage fights from Al Haymon as a stipulation of Mayweather signing a contract with Showtime. Not only do we have Santa Cruz/Ruiz to look forward to in the first half of 2015, we will also get Stevenson/Fonfara II.:bukkake:

Galahad fight makes more sense than Otake, the kid fights on Channel 5, he sure has good exposure (comparatively).

Frampton and Santa Cruz are the two guys Hearn would be willing to remove Quigg from his bubble wrap suit. Frampton for obvious financial reasons, and Santa Cruz because a loss to a hyped up, foreign fighter with decent backing really wouldn't hurt him.
