Fighter of the year: Gennady Golovkin

It appears Yahoo have rated their fighter of the year and I'm sure the majority of you will be boiling up with rage the fact they never picked Terence Crawford lol.

    Here you go

Personally I'd have picked Manny Pacquiao but overall I think its a much better choice than picking Terence Crawford who was more of a likely picked to hype his name up a bit more.

This has to be a joke. There are way better candidates out there!

As much as I like GGG, Yahoo doesn't know **** about Boxing.

To be fair you could say the same for any of the sites/companies who picked Terence Crawford If you think GGG shouldn't get it.

Kovalev and Pacquiao have done more this year than both and I'd likely say Geale is a better win than Gamboa for the simple fact Geale is a former MW champion beat good opponents and he wasn't facing a lengthy time off...
Gamboa was fighting out of a weight class which he didn't belong that and his year of inactivity.

It's just like I doubt many people wouldn't give Wladimir Klitschko much credit for beating Marco Huck, we all know he doesn't belong in the ring with big men weighing in at 230-250

Inoue should get it, If he doesn't, then Kovalev should get it.

I certainly wouldn't complain with Inoue getting the nod, maybe If he fought state-side he'd have got the nod.

The MW division is full of D and C level fighters and one of the worst divisions in all of boxing. Beating these guys isn't saying much.

I don't mind it. Clinical KO wins over Geale and Rubio is impressive and have put him on the cusp of superstardom, his viewing figures are increasing fight by fight. Crawford has had a big year and I see why he's a popular candidate.

This is just foreshadowing. 2015 Golovkin will KO, in order, Murray, Lee, Canelo.
