Why does Khan, Maidana's conqueror, have to be on the upside and then have to give Maidana a rematch? It should be Maidana, the loser, who has to prove himself before he gets a rematch.
If Maidana has improved so much he should go beat someone like Alexander before having any weight for a rematch with Khan but he doesn't even want to fight the likes of Thurman and wants the big money fights like Khan and Pacquaio without earning it. Khan already beat him once and has bigger fish to fry, earn your shot or shut your mouth.
Why didn't Khan fight Porter? The Alexander win means nothing, as does the Collazo win. He could have also fought Guerrero, but took the easier path, and a year late doing it. His and Maidana's first fight was close, so why not do it again? Alexander and Collazo are nothing better than gatekeepers at best.

pretty much how i see it too!
no doubt in my mind that khan is being very carefully matched with the only aim to be secure a retirement payday against mayweather or (second choice) pacquiao.
He's running away from kell brook and doesn't want to take any risks against the likes thurman or porter. he isnt as popular in either UK or USA as he tries to portray, and is going to struggle to secure either floyd or pac without a big win over a bona fide top 10 welter.

This guy doesn't even speak English but has a better command of it . Khan is a three time loser and no one is interested in him really. In Pakistan he might be big news but that's Pakistan and I don't see them buying many PPvs. His twitter followers are just that , they don't even know what boxing is.Poor Amir had NO fans when Oscar tried to get some of his investment back by putting him top of the MGM Grand bill in a fight where he was 3/1 on favourite ....NONE, I know he isn't well liked as I go to many shows throughout the world and have never known a fighter to be so loudly booed and this includes Eubank.I was going to say that even his most hardened fans must be embarrassed for him but the way these people view boxing maybe not.
As Lennox Lewis said "You walk in the rain your'e going to get wet" as Amir Khan then put it "If you go in the shower your'e going to get wet"....Not much more to say really apart from 'thick'and' delusional' springs to mind.Last edited by thack; 01-01-2015, 11:22 AM.

Khan has had more PPV's and can headline them himself and is nearly always the favourite and is a English speaker, enabling instant connection and marketability with the U.S. PPV buying market and supporting U.K. Market. Even in Pakistan there is a good percentage of English speakers, Maidana, needs a translator. Yep, Cortez again helped out and protected the biggest investment, lol, now you GTFO!!!
