You may not like Rigo, consider him over hyped, boring and a runner.

On that we can agree to disagree , it's a matter of tastes.

    Amagasa though deserves some respect.

He wasn't well known, everybody expected him to be knocked out in 3 rounds, but in spite of that he fought his heart out.

Many fighters fold mentally after being dominated for the first half of the fight, this man gave everything he had in every round.
He wasn't there to get paid, he was there to win.

I mean, think of Ortiz , of Alexander, of Donaire. All these guys either quitted or began to "run" when damaged.

Amagasa was still trading in the 11th , throwing big shots when his jaw was broken, his ocular bone was also broken, his face was swollen and he was still eating good shots.

As if it wasn't enough the man was crying when his corner (rightfully) stopped the fight, Rigo went there to console him.

Think what you want of Rigo, but Amagasa is no tomato can , if nothing else the guy has huge balls and heart.

Yes, Amagasa, the guy who had the guts to fight Rigondeaux. I'm Mexican and know Santa Cruz don't want none. He needs to step up like Canelo and demand to fight the best.

You're right. He does deserve respect. Amagasa.
