If Peter Quillin had been fighting 3-4x per year for the last two years, headlining some smaller shows, he'd have alot more market value today like Golovkin.

Right now alot of Haymon fighters have an inflated pay checks because of Showtime's willingness to overpay. If Showtime doesn't turn up their boxing ratings by the time Mayweather completes his deal, those pay checks will drop big time. Accountability is coming.
I think this is going to be part of the plan. Have his fighters fight on NBC for good money but not huge money against lesser opposition, similar to GG and Kov, to build up name and brand and save the big fights and big checks for Showtime/HBO or whatever he has planned.

None of these fighters are PPV quality or sell out arena yet. Gotta build

    Hope to see it soon

doesn't change the fact that no matter what network he's on, he's irrelevant.

Lesser than they were fighting on Showtime for big money?! Does Rod Salka have a blind, deaf, mute cousin?

I do hope he's able to recreate some of the atmosphere you had with the USA Tuesday night fights, with the NBC fights. It's just that he had a perfect vehicle to do so this past year between Showtime, Showbox, and Fox Sports and totally didn't.

I know originally they tried to have Quillin fight Rosado on Fox, but Rosado was offered about $50k and balked.

Quillin's actually an entertaining guy to watch fight. He's also entertaining to listen too, but maybe if he fought more he'd speak less.

I used to really like Quillin's quirky personality and how he would take his gold tooth out before an interview and I was never much of a fan of GGG, not saying I don't see GGG's qualities and he is a cool guy, but now it seems that these guys are opposite in that GGG wants to fight all the top names and Quillin doesn't want to fight anyone. My respect for GGG has skyrocketed and for Quillin, it has dropped. Quillin was one of my 3-4 favorite fighters before he pulled the crap he pulled. It's disappointing when you become a genuine fan of a fighter and then the bottom falls out. He had a decent fan base early on, not in numbers but in people on here who really liked him, but he lost just about every fan he had. Not sure if he can ever rebuild that unless he pulls a rabbit out of a hat and takes on a big name soon. He really shoved his foot up his ass when he had a career high payday to beat a guy Lee just stopped. How can a fighter NOT have the confidence or NOT need the money he would have made??????? He said there were a lot of things going on at the time. Well maybe if he poured out what was really going on and if it was justified, at least he would have a fan base. Boxing fans are not easy to forgive fighters but are more so if they know exactly why Quillin dropped his belt having not announced a single reason that makes any sense. Korobov would have made him a ton of money and he would have kept his belt. WHAT exactly can happen in a fighter's life that causes him to miss that opportunity??? I have also lost a lot of respect for Haymon as everyone else has. Haymon really has become the new Don King, but not in a good way.

Quilllin made the dumbest decision ever letting Haymon ruin his biggest payday yet. And what did he get out of Haymon in 2014? One fight in April and nothing scheduled or sought after since. Terrible business decision.

Look how everyone, including me was wowed by Adonis Stevenson. It did not take much for us to change our stance. All most fans want is a fighter who fights often and is willing to take on all comers. These days it is hard to find a willing fighter, combined with willing management.

I don't think that is asking too much
