  • Stats that prove the direct link of the NFL to Heavyweight Boxing.

Forbes highest paid North American Athletes.

    1990-1999

7 Different NA Based Heavyweights made the list during this decade.

    Bowe
    Holyfield
    Foreman
    Tyson
    Lewis
    Tucker
    Ruddock

1 NFL Athlete made this list during the 90's.
Joe Montana during the early 90's.

    2004-2014.
16 Different NFL Athletes made the Forbes highest paid list.
    0 NA Based Heavyweights.

This is common sense here. I'm not saying that the NFL have hundreds of Lennox Lewises or Mike Tysons, I'm saying that the quality of North American based Heavyweights would have been higher if it wasn't for the NFL's marketing explosion starting from the late 90's.........

Common sense falls on deaf ears when it comes to this topic. People would rather believe that America is still producing the same quality of fighters as always because it fits the agenda that American boxers are somehow intrinsically inferior. Then they purposely misconstrue the argument to pretend we're saying there are a lot of NFL/NBA players who would walk into boxing and be great.

I think JJ Watt would beat anyone in the NFL in a 1 on 1 fight

        Well it's really ****ing simple.

An athlete can only dedicate his life to one sport. You can't fight for titles on weekdays, play in the NFL on weekends and play in the NBA on wednesdays.

There is only a limited pool of extraordinary level athletic talent, and boxing is not the number 1 sport in America, so many of the best american athletes don't go into boxing, they dedicate themselves to other sports.

If you can't grasp your head around that concept then the bottom line is you're a ****ing moron.

Just like how Calzaghe was going to be in for a serious beating because Lacy was so black and muscled up.
