Going to the old Kronk was cool but also regretful because I don't think I will ever forget that stench. It will take 100 years for the new one to be like that~
What's happening with the old Kronk gym now? Is there any hope of it ever being restored?

I have been to Gleason's gym in Brooklyn and Saint Mary's gym in the Bronx. I think the veteran trainer in St. Mary's was Puerto Rican cause he had a lot of newspaper articles and pictures of PR fighters like Trinidad on his wall.

That building needs to be condemned, it was a great place but it was a dump before I was born and it was further along the path when I saw it a decade ago which was close to the end. There is a lot of money coming into Detroit now, but gentrification does not usually include rebuilding boxing gyms.

Plus without Emmanuel there is no real head now so while it was great it is just kind of something of the past sadly, glad the name is being kept around though maybe someone can resurrect it.

What is it like? I can never really tell because the all access episodes make it out to be constantly packed.

I though Jonathan banks was the new head? There's a pro called ronnie austino who was from the kronk and was a great amateur. Might bring the name back.

As I understand it from him, Milton McCrory may be coaching there beginning soon...at wherever the new spot is or will be. There will never be another Kronk like the original...but they will keep the name alive, I believe...
