Floyd can say hes his own boss all he wants, the fact is he is signed to a contract with al haymon who he has to pay and find him fights, just like mathysse, maidana, khan, Garcia, and all the other 100 some odd fighters on his roster. And up until now every fight Floyd has fought he has fought under the banner of either golden boy or top rank, with his last 8 or 9 fights he has co promoted, which is the same as Manny pacquiao with his mp promotions co promoting his fights, and Miguel cotto promotions co promoting his fights. Now mayweather promotions finally has its promoters license so he should finally be his own boss right? WRONG, hes still signed to a biatch contract with al haymon and unlike Manny pacquiao is locked down to a network contract with ShowTime who I'm sure is cranking up the pressure for him to fight Manny. So does he really have more control over his own career? I don't think so, but what does it matter anyways? Mayweather used that as an excuse in the past not to fight him, his words were " I'm a boss and Manny isn't, there's a difference" lol how is that even a valid excuse not to fight someone can someone please explain? Because he's fought many other fighters who were signed with promoters or someone who controlled their career, and as I proved earlier HE even has al haymon and ShowTime to ultimately answer to. Manny himself could say well I get huge endorsement deals and I own the television rights to my fights in the phillipines, and I own dozens of lucrative businesses in the phillipines so why should I fight mayweather lol that wouldn't be an excuse either would it? Fact is there is no excuse not to fight pacquiao we've seen him beat cotto and it wasn't close and we saw Manny beat cotto except Manny got the Ko and the whole world saw cotto literally crying in the corner before the 11th round and beg his corner bot to make him go back out. That is the real reason mayweather is scared to fightComment

Pacquiao fans are content with hearing others say or thinking Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao because when Floyd said lets do it Pacquiao May 2nd and Arum had complaints about the date Pacquiao fans immediately said "Why can't Mayweather change the date" instead of "Hell yeah! Lets make it happen!". They front just like their idol.Comment

The truth of the matter is if Floyd really wanted to fight the date should he a non issue. What difference does it make except for the facts canelo already said he was fighting cotton on that date. That is just another roadblock put up by mayweather, and arum even said he wouldn't stop the fight from happening if mayweather wanted to fight may 2nd. He just said that he feels like its poaching. Floyd fans say well Manny fought may 2nd isn't that poaching? Well no because Manny never insisted it had to be on that date when he knew a Mexican fighter was trying to fight on that date. It should only hold significance to Mexicans mayweather is not Mexican so why would it matter to him, Manny vs Floyd will sell on any date and I'm sure bob arum isn't going to stop the fight if Floyd insisnts on that date, he already said he wouldntComment

Arum is co promoting Cotto-Alvarez fight right? So that's millions of dollars there in Arums pocket. PAC-Mayweather can be set in a different date after the Cotto-Alvarez fight and it won't make a difference as far as PPV is concern. PAC-Mayweather will make history in PPV buys no matter what date they fight, that's how big this fight is. Let May have Alvarez his Mexican date, and see how much he gets PPV on buys, then show Alvarez that he's not even close to replace him as PPV king by making triple of what Alvarez made by fighting PAC. See how easy that is? But we're talking about Floyd here, so that becomes wishful thinking.Comment
