Do you mean that Golovkin's skills are so much better than Maywether's that a match wouldn't be competitive?

Golovkin isn't as skilled as Mayweather but he is a big, hard hitting middleweight with a lot talent and potential. 160 would be Floyd's 6th weight class, it's Golovkin's first. Golovkin folds Floyd early.

how do you know its a different cotto? all cotto did was beat delvin rodriguez and a 40 year old Martinez who was coming off of a year layoff. a broken hand and 2 knee surgeries.

        mayweather wins again 116-112

        no rematch is necessary.

        cotto/canelo
        Floyd/pac

these are the 2 biggest fights in boxing.

why do so many fans want fights other than the big 2

No matter what gets offered Cotto it would come down to what he thinks about his chances against Canelo.

Cotto's adviser is right that that fight will be there, but only as long as Cotto beats Canelo but if Cotto can beat Canelo he would make that fight even bigger and line his pockets even more. Even if it was something outrageous like this now it can still be more, but it can go up in smoke so it is a risky game to go Canelo first.

Going Floyd first is probably the safer option but it also limits upside (unless he can beat Floyd), but the other way could be much more lucrative and if Cotto can finish it off perfectly that would be quite a 3 fight run to end his career.

Got to love the position Cotto is in, now he just needs to win to keep it going.

Watch all of cottos fights since after he split from is uncle evangelista. Then watch his two fights under roach. Report your findings.

he fought delvin rodriguez. what is there too see?

he fought a 40 year old Martinez who just looked like **** in the fight before against murray. then a year layoff, a broken hand and 2 knee surgeries.

cotto's opponents since he has been with roach make it hard for me too say cotto is new and improved.

the canelo fight will be the true indicator.

is cotto new and improved? or did he fight a bum and a 40 year old fighter headed downhill?

Exactly and his team understands that regardless of whether he wins, Cotto isn't gonna come out of that fight the same fighter. I'd aim for Mayweather if I were him, I'd say his chances at the moment are better than it was going into the first fight. Mayweather is smaller, not as physical strong or as good of a puncher, also on the decline although it's hard to say how much he's declined.

Kind of Pathetic seeing the Majority of these Fan's bend over for another one of FLoyds meaningless rematches, chanting TMT, with their favorite overpriced TBE hat, as they get bent over for 70 dollars, AGAIN.

You rather see Cotto vs Mayweather than Pacquiao vs Mayweather?. I dont even see you defend yourself as a man from his BS, letting the Bigger Man in Mayweather walk all over you, bend you over by entertaining yet another meaningless rematch that will make you $70 poorer. and make him millions richer, rather than going for a Pacquiao mega fight?

I got to give it to Pacquiao fans, they just got on the scene with Pacquiao, but they love to see their fighter fight ANYBODY. They actually want their fighter to fight, even after getting KO by Marquez, they still ask for the fight.

Maybe fans are a mirror image of their favorite fighters, one is known as a humble warrior, the other as a....well just google "boxing's biggest coward".

Brace yourself for another meaningless boxing year.
