Algieri and Jessie Vargas though? No problem.
And if he fought and beat Canelo (which he would) you would start crying again and cry about catchweights or milkshakes like you guys always do.

funny how cotto fans will bring the floyd fight for cotto, but neither floyds team or showtime have even mentioned cottos name, other than a rumor about haymon, floyds team will bring khans name or even pac, but they wont even mention cotto...
last year when arum was negotiating for cotto-martinez there was an offer made by Golden Boy, and cottos team did not hesitate to mention that offer while negotiating with arum, but now you will only hear "floyd is a possibility"...

Showtime won't be able to match hbo's offer for Cotto. They have to guarantee Floyd his 32mil. You really think they'll be able to afford to throw upwards of $10mil at Cotto? I don't think so. They paid maidana just 1.5mil and ended up in the red. How can they expect to turn a profit with that idiotic guarantee they gave Floyd?

Trust me... Floyd/ Cotto isn't happening.

              That is a good point.

Cotto/Canelo does similar PPV numbers without the crazy guarantee.

Unless Mayweather breaks the bank Cotto has more potential $$$ on the table with Canelo. If he is getting more than a 50/50 split then the potential of this PPV to do over 1 million buys is very real and his potential to cash out would be bigger than the flat fee and small toke percentage he would get from Floyd. I don't think a rematch would do as well as the first fight. The first one had Canelo/Mosley on the undercard and people though Cotto would have a chance at 154. Floyd would be a big underdog and his last 3 PPV without Canelo have done sub 1 million buys.

Over 1M for Cotto-Canelo? Name one PPV that has ever even reached 700K buys that didn't include a heavyweight, De La Hoya, Mayweather, or Pacquiao.

Expect an announcement for Mayweather/Cotto 2 very soon. Floyd looking to make boxing history. And i'm sure he wants to stab Canelo in the heart for his foul mouth by taking away his opponent and snatching May 2 from his grasp. We all know Floyd can put up the most money to lure Cotto.

With Mayweather/ Cotto 2, whoever Canelo chooses to fight damn sure won't be a big deal.

And Pacquiao will also be ass*d out because without Floyd, his second option is Jessie Vargas, a fight not even die hard Pac Tards care for.

Mayweather/ Cotto 2 will crush Canelo, Arum and Pacquiao. Three birds drop with one stone.

10 Million for cotto against floyd is very doable - didnt they pay canelo that much and floyd vs cotto did 1.5 homes so yeah the rematch should be feasible - and do around 1.4 homes
