  • What's with all the double standards from Pac fans. Mayweather and Pacquiao weigh the same on fight night but one should fight GGG while the other fights Vargas?

    • Ths pac of old is gone, never too be seen again, random blood test, - so the stamina u claim cotto lacks is the same with manny - his last what 5 fights jmm bradley twice rios algeri show me a round where he throw 100 punches and looked like a total machine - show me a fight wete he throw over 800 punches - in the bradley fight he only fought the last 1 minute of the rounds - the punching power has readily decreased -

Floyd and Miguel can make 154 and it would be for the JMW AND Middleweight lineal titles! Dang, if cotto can work out and eat properly, they could make 147 and fight for the lineal welterweight, JMW, AND middleweight titles, plus all 3 WBC titles and a couple of WBA Titles.

Remember 160 is the max for middleweight, you can fight at any weight < 160, doesn't have to be between 154.1-160.

i'm sure you have more info than that though. you are in fact a boxing insider.

            • Arum and Hoya need to get this done... giving Cotto some time with Al Haymon about a Mayweather vs Cotto 2 rematch is not good. Al Haymon has a way of changing people mind's. I for one would like to see PR vs Mexico on Cinco De Mayo weekend.

              • The cotto fight is another good reason to stall a fight with pacquiao. Remember he can do all this hoopla and exhibition fights: fight khan, fight cotto or even fight God Salka; but, do it after fighting Manny Pacquiao. Then, you are licensed to cherry pick into retirement afterwards. This guy had stalled enough.

                I repeat...

Cotto v Floyd 2 isn't something new. We already knew what's going to happen, cotto does not have the stamina to keep up with floyd, it's just how he's built, it changes nothing, he's born to gas out in a 12-round fight--no matter how hard he trains. He just can't make out of 12 rounds without tiring. It is what it is.

With mayweather fight, volume punching is mandatory, because it's already given that no one can outbox floyd, that is his area of expertise--that's his territory--you don't want to be in there. But, the blueprint is already there, floyd's output is very low and say what you will about his accuracy but it's still clearly a weakness that a true elite can exploit. Another weakness he has is, you can get him in full defensive mode if you can decently cut off the ring and has great mix of offense, meaning, when he is in that mode, he is tamed, and the offensive fighter has great chance to get that round, now, floyd has inside game and can counter from time to time, and he can get away with it against lesser fighters, but with true elites, he will have to give that round 99% of the time. This hasn't been truly exploited, not only because he is so good, but, he's isn't fighting those few elites that can truly exploit it. Floyd fans are in denial but Manny Paquiao can easily do this. Easy peasy, every ingredient are all there for manny to just overwhelm floyd. Once pacquiao felt floyd's power is not by any means troublesome, it's really game over, nothing floyd can ever do to stop paquiao, floyd fans may laugh but you will see.

Floyd knew this very clearly from the start, it's as clear as a samurai can smell blood from a very formidable opponent or opponent of his equal powers. That's why he would move heaven and earth to avoid the fight for as long as he can--that's why he's tentative--that's why he can't make up his mind; he's saying manny is not on his level but the way the words comes off out of his mouth holds no weight whatsoever, he clearly knows what's going on.

But, anyway, there is not much to move around avoiding the fight; sooner or later, he's going to fight him not because he wants too but because he doesn't have a choice at all, in short, his back is against the wall, and even the most coward human being on the universe, if you trapped him and back him up in the corner and has nowhere to run, he will eventually come clawing back to fight for his life. All he hope for is for manny to get defeated by father time, surprisingly, it hasn't happen yet, regardless of manny's wear and tear throughout the years. So floyd is trying to stall some more. But folks, they are going to fight sooner or later. It's inevitable.

Did you send out a contract or not? I don't see Cotto fighting Floyd, that's another L, loss of all leverage and he'd still have to fight Golovkin for those belts unless Floyd makes him put them on the line.

                  • The Cotto/Floyd stans only want Cotto vs Mayweather 2 so their favorite boxers can get paid. They don't really care about legacy/challenges. It's going to be a replay of the first fight.

of course and floyd defending his JMW title vs maidana at 147 is such an accomplishment too right???
