I really expect Mayweather-Cotto is the fight that happens. Miguel is using Alvarez as leverage against Floyd for their negotiations. This is two birds one stone for Floyd. Gets a big name credible opponent, and knocks Canelo out of the way.

Floyd gets to fight someone he knows he can beat, and Miguel gets to fight someone he knows won't knock him out.

I don't care about Cotto-Canelo. Mayweather-Cotto 2 is far more interesting.

This plus Canelo aint quite razzling and dazzling, he has looked very human and he's hiding his head, a Canelo match can happen anytime and later this year, with his purse and ppv revenue he made over 10 plus mil for the first Floyd fight he's bound to make more this time around.....

floyd has not gotten better since the first fight cotto has and bigger but keep in mind mayweather could be using cotto as a back up plan just like manny did with whatever the next bum in line is at top rank unless its crawford that be legit. I just see it as mayweather and showtime doing whatever it takes to keep may 2nd that was just dumb on canelos part trying to steal away may 2nd "for the mexicans" even tho hed be fighting in the usa. well see what happens but **** is nothing but drama right now

This was the coward mayweathers plan all along. Cotto put up a decent fight against him but it was still nowhere near a close fight. There I no reason whatsoever for a rematch. If duckweather runs from mamny and fights cotto I hope Manny fights canelo on cinco de canelo and reclaims the ppv crown that damn duckweather is such a coward

Yeah, beating another guy he already beat, that should cement Floyd's place in history. Funny how the talk of fighting Kahn stopped after he looked so good against Alexander, maybe Kahn looked too good to take that risk. Floyd will do what he usually does, fight another name opponent that is good but not risky, like Trout.
