    The Unfortunate Truth

Boxing is nothing but a business these days.
The days of guys wanting to fight to prove who the best is long gone.
Overpaid, overhyped fighters against TBA is the new sport of boxing...
We mine as well stop pretending it's anything like the old days... Sure, we get a guy like Canelo who will fight anyone anytime but he is the exception to the rule instead of the norm.
Al Haymon has proven to be a mastermind in getting his guys lucrative pay days on premium networks fighting stiffs and no hopers on a regular basis. Nothing will change folks, when it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Without a commission to rule the whole sport, politics and dirty tactics will run rampant... When I show my 8 year old son fights with guys like Oscar and Canelo someday at least I can tell him "yeah, he lost fights, but he got in there with everyone in his time" and that's what earns people's respect, not how much money a fighter makes..
So enjoy more Broners and Garcia's and Thurmans vs TBA and Bums of the week and Mayweather and Pac fighting everyone but each other cause that's all we have these days I guess...
Working...
