Hello everyone and welcome to The Official No Hate-Appreciate Thread.
1) Your Favorite Boxer
2) Why
3) The Proudest moment
**Rules: There is to be Absolutely No Hate on any boxer whatsoever in this thread.
Do Not tell us why you hate this or that boxer, because said boxer is a bum, cherry picker, quitter, etc...
*Tell us about your favorite boxer and why you love/appreciate them.
The purpose of this thread for the advancement and the appreciation of boxing/boxers and what they do.
I've seen many slow-mo videos on many boxers and it showed me what I wouldn't have normally saw and made me realize exactly how good said boxers actually were.
You may post videos along with your explanation if you want, but if the people of the world were to read this thread, and they will, let the world know why you like your favorite boxer and why they should too.
*Tell us about The Proudest Moment you had for your boxer.
My favorite boxer: Floyd Mayweather jr. 47-0-0
Why: I often while watching boxing, find myself yelling at the tv to boxers:
"Hey, throw the right, use your feet, move! Don't just stand there, get out of the corner, counter him after he throws that lazy jab, etc..."
I almost NEVER have to do that while watching Floyd.
He sees and does everything almost perfect in the ring.
When he's at his best, he Maximizes every moment and seizes every opportunity all in a Split Second.
I find this absolutely fascinating.
It's like he has EVERY Tool that you need to be the perfect boxer.
The proudest moment: The Mayweather-Mosley fight.
I was on an emotional roller coaster for the Mosley fight.
I was at a fight party with family and friends, full of haters and supporters.
In the 2nd rd when Floyd got rocked, we stood up like "oh crap", the haters cheered, I was soo nervous, my heart was beating like I was actually fighting.
Everyone said he would shell up and just get KOd by Mosley and it seemed like it was coming to pass.
Then I saw something special... This man immediately switched from the shell to the Peek-A-Boo defense and started tagging the **** outta Mosley and finished the round Strong as heck.
He then proceeded to beat the sh^t outta Shane all while switching back and forth between the Philly Shell and the Peek-A-Boo defense, lightning fast Pull counters rocking the hell out of him, tagging him twice while he was talking too much, etc...
Man I lost my voice that night and it was beautiful.
Honorable mention for proudest moment: Mayweather-Hatton
I was at a yacht party for this fight.
It was the biggest yacht in North America, It had a casino, a ballroom, a club level, fully catered, open bar, a dating game show taking place on one floor where you can win a date right there on the yacht, and a whole bunch more.
There were huge screens everywhere playing the fight live.
The atmosphere was amazing, Ricky Hatton fans singing and chanting. Mayweather fans yelling and cheering.
Hatton was relentless in that fight and really bringing it.
The manner in which Floyd KOd him just topped off one of the best nights of my life.
