This is what happens when you fight on foreign soil. Back then, boxing didn't have medical staffs in place to handle bizarre incidents, such as this. Smh. This was so sad and tragic and could've been avoided. "F" Nigel Benn. The way he arrogantly talked trash after the fight as if it was his skill that knocked GM unconscious. What a F-A-G!
The one thing I agree with is that boxing didn't have the right medical procedures in place at that time.
That is not true about Nigel Benn, he's just a boxer trying to defend his title and make a better life for his family. God only knows how he suffered....I'm sure he regrets any trash talking, he just won a fight he was suppose to lose, be knocked out within two rounds, adrenaline is a powerful thing.
Great documentary on YouTube, i will post the link.....

I was about 8 years old. This was the first boxing fight I ever saw. I didn't quite understand it back then, but what a fight it was.

i wouldn't say it's one of the best because there have been some tremendous documentaries made on boxing. But I remember it as being really touching and very good.

The greatest fight in British boxing history. Two of my close friends were at the fight and said nothing will ever come close to what they felt that night.

They said the atmosphere was almost feral as people screamed for blood. I watched at home and the sheer brutality of it left me feeling exhausted, both physically and emotionally. What a night, Benn was an animal.
