WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) has no dispute that his fight with mandatory challenger Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32KOs) is going to end by knockout on January 17th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Both champion and challenger are on the same page with the outcome.

I'm picking Wilder to win, but the fight is a dice roll because no one knows how good Wilder truly is, or how good he will become.

Often times it seems like Wilder makes a lot of basic mistakes like being flat footed and leaving his chin out there to be hit but no one has been able to capitol off of it, yet!

Stepping up this far in level of opposition and here's where the chin gets checked. And of the 2 chins, Stiverne's seems better. Not saying it couldn't go the other way, it could. But if you spend any time around Wilder it's easy to see he's a attention ho out the wazoo, and that in itself is a deterrent to a fighter becoming elite... plus Wilder's chin problems he experienced even vs cans... and he throws slow wide haymakers that a pro like Stiverne should be able to avoid.

But anyway... great matchup, and we'll get many questions answered with the aftermath.

Hope to God Wilder will win, but I'm not sold.

Stiverne hasn't put the world alight either, and doesn't move his head at all + he's rather flat footed.

            But he can punch.

Stiverne can take a punch so this will be fun as hell if Wilder lands but can't get Stiverne out of there. I'm not so sure Wilder can take Stiverne's punches.

Wilder is like the heavyweight Broner. Both were hype jobs that got exposed by bigger punchers. Stiverne is actually the bigger puncher but he doesn't try to get everyone out of there like Wilder and fought better competition. Wilder is going to get overwhelmed.
