Comments Thread For: Hearn: Haymon Not Very Confident of Mayweather-Khan

During the month of December, promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport has had several conversations with influential manager/adviser Al Haymon. The two of them have discusses several potential fights - including a March fight between Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and a battle between Koki Kameda and Jamie McDonell.

Hearn wants to get his fighter, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook, in the ring with Amir Khan, who Haymon works with.

more like Haymon is scheming a way to make a Floyd-Danny Garcia fight.

either way I doubt he'll thank big mouth Eddie for telling the world his inclinations

Hearn is right, Hayman sees Khan as too much of a threat.

Lmao. Kahn wouldn't have a shot man. Did yall forget this is a guy that loss to Lamont Peterson in impressive fashion? Now yall think he's going to give Mayweather some trouble? He barely escaped out of a round with Julio Diaz. Yall cant be serioius. Someone tell me yall joking. When you lose to Lamont Peterson, not to say that Peterson is a scrub, but when you get dominated by Peterson, and have to be saved by the bell vs a journeyman, how can you make a case that you'll beat Mayweather?

Exactly, anybody on NSB entertaining this Khan rubbish simply ain't a true boxing fan. With Pac-May on the horizon you've actually got people believing May is ducking Khan. I mean come on, really?

well lets think just in the last couple years post cotto fight people said mayweather was ducking ****in robert guerrero so he could fight paulie or alexander i mean think about that for a second people used to actually have memes that depicted mayweather as ducking robert ****in guerrero. then he was ducking canelo only for people to find out floyd had already offered him twice before they actually fought then he was ducking maidana to fight khan then when he picked maidana people said he was ducking khan. i mean honestly i get it people hate floyd but if that dont show just how unfair people are to floyd nothing will at all

Thus maybe because Mayweather - Pacquiao may actually occur finally. Maybe.. Just Maybe.

Personally, I believe Khan is a threat but not to the degree some are claiming. He is quick with his amatuer type combos but he lacks real power. He wouldn't put Mayweather away and he wouldn't win some glorious fight. It would close, if he did find a way to win but I don't see it happening.

Mayweather has either lost a step or Maidana was just more difficult than perceived. Maidana is a relentless fighter and Khan is not. If the fight were to occur, I see Mayweather winning a comfortable decision but not a shut out performance.
